Olive oil deserves a better conversation

Our mission

Most people buy olive oil more often than almost any other ingredient in their kitchen, and know less about it than almost any other ingredient in their kitchen. The category is full of confident-sounding advice — about colour, about smoke points, about price — that does not survive contact with how olive oil is actually made.

We write for the shopper, not the trade. That means plain English, no jargon for its own sake, and a willingness to say when something simply does not matter as much as people think.

What we do

• Explain how olive oil works, in guides you can read in a few minutes.
• Keep a small, curated selection of oils with the origin and flavour information we have been able to verify.
• Send you to the producer or retailer to buy — we sell nothing ourselves.

Where we come from

Olive Curious is built by people who work in the olive oil sector and have spent years following its harvests, its markets and its producers.
